303 Magazine has an annual award ceremony to celebrate the people and places that make each year in Denver great.
The 303 Award for the Fashion Industry is given to people and/or entities that have contributed to progressing and improving the local Denver industry the most. This year, Ink Monstr’s very own Rustin Coburn, along with Holli Gibson were the winners!

Rustin and Holli were recognized for their hard work in building the Denver Design Incubator, a local non-profit business school for fashion designers. For more info on the Denver Design Incubator go HERE!

Congratulations Rustin!!!

If you have been in Denver, Boulder, or Aspen in the last month you have probably seen all the impressive Red Bull signage. To promote their new partnership as the official sponsor of the Winter X Games, Red Bull did a major campaign of window graphics, wall wraps, gondola wraps, and banners.

A lot of Red Bull’s branding for the Winter X Games were images from Travis Rice’s movie “Art of Flight”, which makes for very impressive wall graphics. Ink Monstr loves working with James Kelly and the whole Red Bull crew. Below is a teaser of gallery images, including a new three story wall wrap at Blake and 20th in Denver.

The Ghost is a rad new restaurant in a rad building in downtown Denver. They have commissioned Ink Monstr to install graphics to their specialty cocktail bar. Step one is a couple frosted vinyl graphics on the mirrors behind the bar….which we installed yesterday. Frosted vinyl always looks classy.

This week Denver will see the SIA Tradeshow come into town for the third year in a row. From Wednesday to Sunday (Jan. 25th to 29th, 2012), the streets and downtown Convention Center of Denver will be over-run with snow sports industry professionals and athletes.

SnowSports Industries America (SIA) is the national not-for-profit, North American member-owned trade association representing suppliers of consumer snow sports with constituents in the retailer, rep and resort communities. It is the largest international tradeshow for the skiing and snowboarding industry, and it has been great to have it in Denver.

If you make to the show keep an eye out for Ink Monstr’s handy work. This year we have been hired to do the graphics and sign work for over 10 of the exhibitors booths, including Deelux, Neff, Flux, and Nike.
Also, do not forgot to come to our party Friday Night. FREE DRINKS AND REDMAN.

Motive is one of the most talented and creative agencies in Denver… hands down. We have really enjoyed working with them over the years, because they are a great group of creative minds who are always coming up with amazing ideas. Plus they work as hard as we do.

It is a very competitive industry out there, so the fact that a small Denver based agency represents the international brands that they do speaks volumes to their company. Please take a minute to check out their website and follow them on Motive Facebook page. Looking forward to watching these guys grow and continue to change the game. Thank you Motive!!!

It’s amazing how a little paint and a few pieces of vinyl can transform a space.  A few months back we printed and installed a these vinyl graphics at bNimbl’s new space in Downtown Denver off 14th and Blake.

After all was said and done the new space finally felt complete and folks at bNimbl were stoked to get settled in to their new home. Trying to figure out a simple way to brighten up your space?  Give us a shout!

The Bike Depot is a nonprofit community bike shop that offers a wide range of bicycling programs, services and products. They look to increase the use of and access to bicycles, promote safe and bicycle-friendly environments, and advocate for policies that promote bicycle access and use.

Ink Monstr was thrilled to help them out with new signage for their Denver office. UV coated matte laminate on our high quality outdoor vinyl was applied to a wood panel above their awning. They were nice enough to provide a scissor lift for our install crew to use.

This is the second year that Ink Monstr has participated in Nike’s Shoe Shine.  The annual event includes a Sneaker Exhibition and Competition  that strives to engage local youth with community through art and sneakers. [read more here]

This years entry was designed by our own Nicholas Hughes.  The backboard consisted of reflective vinyl layered with printed clear vinyl and finished off with a matte laminate.  And as always we created some custom stickers for the event…check out the photos below.

We recently installed frosted vinyl on these doors for the Oak at 14th in Boulder. This is just one part of a total rebuild the restaurant just underwent.  Damage caused by a fire last March forced the restaurant to close and completely gut the building.  After 9 long months they proudly reopened their doors this past Wednesday. So if your in the neighborhood stop by and check out the new digs.

Spyder has done a good job moving into the lifestyle and youth industries over the past few years. It is not easy when you are one of the biggest ski companies in the world, known for ski racing, to branch out and become relevant in new market segments. A new line of fashion forward outwear, a strong team of athletes, and changing the company colors to black, red, and white seems to be working.

A few weeks ago they hired Ink Monstr to come wrap their very cool old school snowcat.
The Spyder marketing team asked for matte black with reflective spot graphics. It was the first snowcat we have ever wrapped, and it turned out very cool, and is now up in Aspen with Chris Davenport

The snow is falling and the leaves have changed. Loveland ski resort got 20″ of fresh snow this week.
Winter is on and we are loving it. Most of us have gotten a few days on the mountain, which is pretty sweet since it is not even Halloween yet.
When we can escape from Ink Monstr’s busy work schedule, we like to have fun!
This summer we spent our Saturday’s at the Burnsley Hotel in downtown Denver with our friends at PBR and Voleurz.
So while Summer is over, having fun is not.

Check out the video, remember summer, then go play in the snow!!!
