SIA and Outdoor Retailer Show Reach Agreement
The Outdoor Retailer Show is coming to Denver in 2018. The organizers of SIA and the Outdoor Retailer show worked close with the government to move the Utah based show into Denver, accomplishing a deal that would normally take years, within a few short months. The agreement brings the Outdoor Retailer Show not just in combination with SIA in January, but also boasts two more shows in June and November. The three shows are expecting 85,000 in attendance and a $110 million economic impact in Denver’s already thriving economy. Denver is well recognized for it’s outdoor sports companies and accessibility to the fantastic terrain with this announcement as a further testament to this.
“This was, on the highest level, an alignment of values and visions and characteristics relative to the way the outdoor recreation industry wants to be and the way the state wants to be. To me, this is the definition of a true partnership. This was the moment for Colorado and it all tipped, in my opinion, toward the logical conclusion that these shows belong here.” – Kim Miller, board member of SnowSports Industries America and Outdoor Industry Association
