Where did your love for art start? How did you become an artist?
I’ve been doing art for as long as I remember. In the first grade, I drew the airplane from the cartoon show TailSpin, and it ended up winning an award in an art competition. That’s when I realized that art came easily to me.
Where do you get your inspiration?
I guess my everyday surroundings, the people I meet, the places I travel, the books I read and the films I watch are all sources of inspiration for me.
If you could learn any new medium of art, what would it be and why?
Besides my art, I work as an art director at a digital agency. and we get to play with all sorts of new technology. I think there is a lot of potential with virtual reality when it comes to the arts. I would like to explore that more.
How did you come up with the idea for you Breck Trek Sticky Situation Piece?
My piece is somewhat of a self-portrait. I grew up in the Colorado rockies, and thought that my love for camping, hiking, nature and playing music would a good representation of Colorado.
What’s your favorite Breck Brew beer?
471 for sure.
